Grand View Point

Canyonlands National Park could be considered Utah's answer to the Grand Canyon.
There are three main elevation levels in Canyonlands.
This view is from the uppermost level, the "Island in the Sky". As you look from this vantage point, you can see the White Rim about 1200 ft (365 m) below, named for the white rock exposed along the rim of this level. Descending another 1000 ft (300 m) below that brings one to the level of the rivers which flow through the park.

Canyonlands is filled with nooks and crannies which provide endless opportunities to explore, from the grand vista seen here, to Native American archaeological sites. Canyonlands can be enjoyed by everyone from the casual visitor to the most intrepid trekker. - Martin van Hemert
