Capitol Reef Gulch

Capitol Reef National Park contains a maze of washes, gulches, ravines, and canyons (pick your favorite term).  This unnamed gulch, which seemed the most appropriate term to me, is near the western entrance to the park:

The deep red sandstone of the Moenkopi Formation, creates a contrasting backdrop for the Utah Junipers found here.  Capitol Reef, while not as well known or popular as other national parks in Utah, offers a wealth of intriguing scenery.

Thanks so much for viewing!
