Fifth Water Hot Springs, Utah

The milky white waters of Fifth Water Hot Springs are well known to area hikers. The springs are unique in that they occur at a relatively high elevation for hot springs, 6200 ft (1890 m).

The stream owes its appearance to dissolved sodium bicarbonate, clorides, and sulfates from the hot springs. Fifth Water Hot Springs is accessed via Diamond Fork Canyon, a side canyon to Spanish Fork Canyon, and is located within the Uinta National Forest. - Martin van Hemert
