Delicate Arch by Moonlight

Arches National Park in Utah is known world wide for its other worldly rock formations. Illuminated by moonlight, this view includes things of interest below and above the horizon. The brightest star above and to the right of Delicate Arch is Sirius. Above and to the right of Sirius is the constellation Orion. Continuing to the right, the Pleiades star cluster is visible above the bright glow of the moon. To the left of Delicate Arch, the yellow glow above the horizon is from the city of Grand Junction, Colorado.

This panorama was constructed from a total of twelve separate images shot within a 10 minute period from one fixed point. All exposures were between 20 and 30 seconds. - Martin van Hemert
