A Star in the East
In early autumn of 2010, the planet Jupiter was the dominant feature in the eastern sky, and as I shot this, I felt it might be an offering fit for Christmas. From the opening southern view in this panorama, panning or moving to the east (left) along the horizon will bring you to a very prominent “star”, which is Jupiter. The lower left corner of the screen will contain a link to a second panorama which has various celestial objects labeled:
Utah has many excellent dark sky areas. This panorama was created on the dry Sevier Lake bed. The sky glow to the northeast, amplified in this long exposure, is from the town of Delta.
Merry Christmas,
Martin

Hi Veshay, thanks for your kind words! Obviously not every panorama can be a “home run”, but at least swinging the bat keeps me off the streets!
