Nebo Loop Road
I’ve previously featured panoramas taken in Payson Canyon, and now with one more, some of you may start thinking I need to get out more, and take a real vacation or something like that. I like to think however, that shooting some things close to home gives the advantage of going back (and back, and back…) until conditions are just right:

This grove is next to Maple Lake, along the Nebo Loop Road which runs from Payson to the Nephi area.
P.S. Oct 7, 2010 – I’ve just reworked this image, as what I had posted earlier was a little over the top saturation wise. You may want to refresh your browser if you’ve viewed this before. – Martin van Hemert

Bravo Martin – I adore your work and am a suscriber to your website – I especially love this picture as it brings back wonderful childhood memories from a place in Victoria Australia called Buchan where we would go for picnics, feed the kangaroos & explore limestone caves – the autumn leaves or “fall” as you say are magnificent – you can almost hear them crunching underfoot (just like the maple leaves at Buchan) as you twirl around this site – another lovely thing is that you can pan to the top of the trees and pretend that you are lying on the ground enjoying the passing scenery & blue sky above. Are they oak leaves? It evokes a real sense of “being there” and I even get a sense of smell from this forest. Anyway, I for one don’t think you need to get out more – keep up the brilliant work, I just love your very clever work. Cheers & many thanks. Truly amazing. xxxx

Hi Lynn,
Thanks for your note. I do like the “up” view of this panorama. As far as the leaves, there are oaks and maples in the area, and this is right by a small lake called Maple Lake, but other than that I will have to defer to others who are more “up” on trees. Martin
